Think of your process as a product

Think of your process as a product - it may have bugs, nice features, might be highly custom. It may also accept bug fixes, new features, or even pull requests. It might need documentation, onboarding or instructions to use effectively.
All of these things we do as product people applies to process. If yours to mould for your needs and all the metaphors apply. Process isn't your enemy - its a tool for greatness, if it's in the right hands.

Heads up: As with any terse bit of advice, there will be exceptions of course, and subtleties and nuance that can't possibly be captured in a Byte of Wisdom. This has been what I've experienced, I'd love to hear yours in the comments too!
