Working from home with kids in the house is the ultimate challenge. My #1 tip is to listen to their emotions, and your emotions. It's likely that you will need to take a few hours out of the day to just be with them. Also listen to yourself if you are completely exhausted and nearing burn out don't push it. If you just cant wait to get back to your project, sometimes its time to buckle down and get some extra hours in at night because their will be days that isn't the case. For me it comes in waves. I buckle down and put 10+ hours in on a good day, and have days where 5 is a struggle to find. I particularly like what I do and use it as an escape many times once everyone is in bed.
