Google has indexed a bunch of webcams. All you have to do is search some specific string, and you get back a bunch of IPs of unsecured webcams.

I remember being a bored teenager, trying to find something interesting. Some cameras you could even control, albeit at a very high ping.

Traffic cams somewhere in China, a parging garage, a mall, etc.

Then suddenly, I was in a house, looking at two women - presumably mother and daughter (they looked alike) - eating dinner. I kind of freaked out. A huge invasion of privacy!

I even had control of the camera. For some reason, the control panel had a button that caused a 360 degree spin. I tried pressing it, and after a couple of tries, caught their attention. They started inspecting the camera, and the feed cut out shortly thereafter. Presumably, they unplugged it.

IoT shit still freaks me out to this day. Shit code on IoT can turn harmful real fast, and I have been a developer long enough to know that everyone writes shit code sometimes.
