After I finished college and got my first job I stopped doing sports. I was at work 9h/day and I used my free time to read, configure dev environments and other dev related things. After more than 1 year I realized what happened to my body, to my general mood and lifestyle.
Since then, I started paying way more attention to my life and sports. I try at least twice a month to go hiking, running, circling or whatever. It might not seem much, but over time it adds up. I stopped spending vacation time being lazy. I travel far, I walk and explore a lot... I do everything I don't do while working.
It's been 6 years since, I'm still accommodating and learning but, most importantly, I try to step out of the dev shoes and try "something else"
