Are you trying to imply that just because someone else has a greater problem at the moment, no one else can also have a problem? I'm sure there are other people far worse off than the lady with only one leg, but that doesn't mean that her life is not hard and deserving.
I agree that we should always take things in perspective, and consider how other people might be worse off than ourselves. But how many times have you tried to better your own life despite there being others in the world who have greater problems than yourself?
If we never try and fix the small problems, because the big problems also haven't been fixed yet, we will probably never fix anything.
