I strongly believe that Styled Components are amazing - just that I set a very bad example.
I recommend reading through the comments - I'll post a follow-up post in the future after refactoring my project to smithereens. I hope that you feel differently after reading said-post. :)

I was never really sold on idea of styled component, but your example helped me to understand that it's absolutely worthless.
Too much of cognitive load and far less improvements.
I wouldn't use this example as a good use case for styled components. SC are great.
