At some point in its life make sure it borrows from or becomes almost similar to ( insert "popular" framework here ).
Make sure it doesn't remain simple and intuitive. As long it remains simple its not good, it has to be complex, exclusive and esoteric. In JavaScript the more esoteric a framework is, the better.
The first time I looked at a React tutorial video, I almost burst into tears. I was just coming from the jQuery, .Js, .htm, .CSS background. I thought I would never be able to move to a modern FW. Then I saw Vue. The first video I watched, wow. I just fell completely in love.
