Heroku is great, if you can live with the cold starts which are quite frequent and can cause a heavy delay. As far as I can tell (but that's not based on any research or performance testing), Netlify has a better free tier.
But I love both, very user friendly and have never been disappointed in any way. And now that Digital Ocean has jumped on the bandwagon, it might also be time to check that out. Their server offering is definitely one of the best around.
