If you're just starting, I would recommend you to take a look at "AI for everyone" course on Coursera by Andrew Ng. It will give you a general view and understanding of AI and Machine Learning as well.
After that course, I think you can start working on some Machine learning projects for beginners and for a better guide I would recommend you to read "Introduction to Machine Learning with Python" book by Andreas C. Müller & Sarah Guido
The book is very straight forward and focuses more about the practical part of how you can create different kinds of machine learning models.
