As someone who was also born in China I can say that the fact that you wrote an English blog post perfectly fine (you need to add a space after punctuations such as ? , and . but other than that you're good)

My dad isn't that strong of an English speaker but he managed just fine to get a job as a DevOps.

However, if you can read and understand documentation, comprehend code tutorials, and communicate in an everyday English environment that's more than enough.

I find that most Chinese people have a decent enough understanding of the English they read and hear but just lack on speaking, especially pronounciation and grammar try and improve on that.

Don't be shy on talking to people! Most people just care if they understand what you're saying and that's what's important

I highly recommend Duolingo to practice that.

As a developer here are some English terms you might want to know:

AWS - Amazon Web Service

CLI - Command Line Interface

Lint, linted, linting (not to be confused with clothing) - Checking your code and finding errors and bad code practices. Search up any language + lint and you'll find one online to proofread your code. Such as JavaScript Lint would get you this page: jslint.com/

DRY - Don't Repeat Yourself

FAANG - Acronym for the 4 big tech companies: Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google

CI and CD - Stands for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, important if you want to explore devops

Yarn (don't confuse this with a ball of yarn) - A package manager

GH - Short for github

PR - Short for Pull Request, but it can also stand for Public Relations

MDN -Mozilla Developer Network

Those are things on the tip of my head on terminology you might see as an English Developer.

Happy coding!
