Digitaltableteur began in 2003 as a working name for illustration and graphic design in Turku, and was registered as a studio in Helsinki in 2009. The 2010s brought brand identities, magazines and websites, alongside design roles at startups and agencies.

UX/UI work took over in 2015, and from 2020 the focus narrowed to design systems: the Helsinki Design System, Best Design System at Grand One 2023, then SAP Build Apps. Today the studio builds AI-native design systems for product teams and publishes open-source tools such as Rhythmguard and Project Spine.

Figma, design tokens (DTCG), React 19, TypeScript, Next.js, CSS Modules, Storybook, web components, Vitest, Playwright, axe-core, Stylelint with Rhythmguard and MCP servers for agent-readable component contracts. Every component ships with tests, a11y evidence and docs.
