I like the idea of it but the press surrounding it has been large shaming REST which i don't find to be healthy.
If there wasn't a general sense of "it's good because we say so" about the tech they release and their general desire to gain a monopoly on open source in general then i would be more accepting of them but that doesn't seem to be the case.
There seems to be a poisonous intent from Facebook to systematically replace everything with "Facebook" versions of it and i really don't like that, not one bit.
