About the VSCode, to me the problem is, it is too heavy for an editor (like chrome, eat lots of RAM). Still a great tool, the way that it deal with extensions and the ecosystem created is really good.
Agreed, for me it is both heavy and sluggish (I have a high-end laptop). Unfortunately I'm stuck with vim and similar until something is done.
