I can totally empathise with your situation. I'm currently looking at front-end and really loving Vue.js - but as you say, React is absolutely massive. You, however, look like you'll be in a good position to suggest Angular as an alternative if the situation presents itself, and that will make you a credit to the project you're on and the industry we're in.
