Everyone looks for some quick fix. The most important thing to realise is that to change your life, your habbits, you need more time, than few days or weeks of a new year. Other thing is to set realistic goals. One of the best books about diet I have read is The Just Cut It Method by Jennifer Morris. It's all about I wrote - baby steps and realistic goals set in a proper time period. Then, after few monhts or even years, depends how much you want to lose, when you got used to new way of life, you can try to change something else, like for example quit smoking (yes, for this I also've got great book - net-boss.org/the-easiest-way-to-quit-smoking-for-life). And remember that you're not alone with all of this problems. There are plenty of forums with very helpful people, always you can chat with family member or a friend? Maybe you can start those changes toghether?
