Some devs believe that they'll have the leisure and the time to handle fixes later. That's a deep mistake.
My personal dev experience taught me more than anything else the exponential law hidden behind procrastination: the more you wait, the more you'll regret. And that's especially true for little stuff to be done.
If you feel your code getting too intricate, change it immediately: do it the way you would if you were supervising furious boiling pasta for diner.
Think twice before discarding the creepy-crawly ;)
