I've used monorepos for many years and at some point started to use generators to create new services and packages within the repo.
A very basic example is my personal website and how I create new blog posts with a generator: github.com/mikenikles/www-mikenikl...
This greatly improves consistency and speeds up mundane tasks so developers can focus on more important tasks than creating and setting up new services.
