Hi, I'm Nikki! I'm a Junior Web Developer and have been studying online since 2015. I'm really in to FreeCodeCamp and Udemy at the moment, but have completed other paths as well (Codecademy, Udacity, Google Codelabs). I'm also a mother of 5 (3 kids and 2 puppers). I love CSS, Sass, front end frameworks, Node, and have a huge interest in making the web more accessible. Why? I've had epilepsy most of my life, including photosensitive seizures. An accessible site with just the right amount of color contrast, typography, and flow can make the difference in whether or not I keep clicking.
My goal is to make accessibility my focus; to produce usable, asthetically pleasing yet responsive websites.
I'm looking forward to learning more, refining my skills, and connecting with like-minded developers!
One of the most salient features of our Tech Hiring culture is that there is so much bullshit. Everyone knows this. Each of us contributes his share. But we tend to take the situation for granted.
welcome Nikky, i find your background very impressive. A willingness to learn, an ability to make time while being a mother of 5, someone who understands the need for accessibility deep inside her.
I hope you will write about the subject here!
