Maybe it is time to remind people that there is more to the world/Internet than just America

It is sad that we have actually gotten used to the notion that somethings don't belong to the other part of the world. I try and open spotify but heyy it is not available in my country, I buy and an iPhone and try to set up an iCloud account but heyyy my country isn't listed, etc ....
And other things that bothers a lot is how salaries are calculated based on your location(which in most cases is okay) but other things relating to your job like hosting, courses, chances are charges will likely be same with the rest of the world or even higher.

I'm not sure if you still remember things like zoning on DVDs and other physical mediums which would not allow you to play things like movies which you bought in another region of the world (since I'm constantly traveling between continents this drives me insane). It is the same thing, in the case like Spotify it has a lot to do with copyrights. Another thing that I could dedicate a post to in the future. When it comes to technologies and hosting you are spot on. Few years back I was interviewing for a company running a service like Netflix for parts of Europe and Africa, but it was not available in my country where they had developers. 【・_・?】
