PaySplitter

The idea for PaySplitter came from a trip to Kudremukh in 2024 with 8 friends, where different people paid for different things — hotel, food, entry fees — and by evening we spent almost an hour manually working out who paid what and who owed whom. That frustration stuck with me, so I designed the logic to solve it: track who paid for what, split it fairly, and show an instant settle-up summary. That became PaySplitter — a free web and Android app that removes the manual math from group expenses.

PaySplitter is built as a full-stack web app with an accompanying Android APK. Core stack includes Java and JavaScript on the backend/frontend, with React for the UI and SQL for data storage. Deployed and hosted on Netlify for fast, reliable access. Designed with a focus on clean UX and accurate, real-time expense-splitting logic — built solo from the ground up as both a product and a personal learning project in full-stack development.
