Thanks for the tips, Davide. I especially like the soft skill part. As far as I can judge as a beginner, there seems to be some kind of unwritten law between developers. It more or less says that you are only allowed to ask for help when you are close to madness or a heart attack and you really tried very hard to solve the problem on your own. In some cases this might be good for learning, but in many others it's just demotivating, annoying and unproductive. A bit more soft skills in this profession might be helpful and motivating for everybody in the field.

thanks for the comment. Not asking for help is a big mistake imho. it comes from fear of judgement, imposter syndrome, confidence etc. but it causes lots of stress and harms projects and teams.

we should be all more humble, ask for help and remember we are all constantly learning.

Of course sometimes we have to bang our head on the desk to finally find the solution and learn. but I think often

the problem is more related to how we ask for help and what help we get rather than finding the solution on our own.

Too many times i see junior (and less junior) devs not asking for help, but asking for the solution, and they are disappointed if I make more questions than I give answers and often in the end I point them to github issues or documentation pages (which contains the solution or could help find one) :-)
