PtyXL was born out of a simple need: a terminal that prioritizes security and privacy without sacrificing performance. We believe that for infrastructure engineers, credentials and configs should never leave the local machine. We are building a local-first ecosystem where transparency and control are defaults, not features. Every line of code is written with the philosophy that the best tools are those you can fully trust, own, and rely on when the cloud goes down.

Built from the ground up using Rust and Tauri for a fast, memory-safe, and native experience. We leverage advanced system programming to ensure deep integration with OS-level security features. Our architecture emphasizes a lean, local-first design, avoiding unnecessary cloud dependencies to keep your workflow fast, private, and entirely under your control.
