Being a professional resume writer (not content writer) for many years, I can tell you that the design of the resume is only part important (let's say 30%). What actually plays a major role are the keywords that you use. For example, in your resume the title "About Me" may not be read by certain ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Professional Summary might be apt.. likewise "Experience " could be re-named as "Work History". These are certain nuances of the modern day resume which most people wouldn't know.
With hiring managers and recruiters being bombarded with so many resumes for just a single role, ATS have taken precedence. This ofcourse has created yet another challenge for job seekers ie. To get their resume past the ATS screening phase so that it actually ends up in the hands of the recruiter.
Just though of giving a resume writer's perspective.
Feel free to drop me a message if you need any help. Cheers !
Thanks for your honest review :)
I didn't know anything about ATS before people started commenting that my resume is not good for ATS. I did some searching and learned about this. I'll surely update my resume according to these reviews :)
