It's easy to forget after hour three of starting at code why you're actually doing what you're doing. Take a walk outside and look around. Those could well be your users. Your software is making their life better, safer or just that little bit easier. They're better and happier because of you. Good job. Keep it up.
Heads up: As with any terse bit of advice, there will be exceptions of course, and subtleties and nuance that can't possibly be captured in a Byte of Wisdom. This has been what I've experienced, I'd love to hear yours in the comments too!
