I get cozy and tune into some relaxing jazz with a cup o’ tea and maybe some cookies.
I also throw out the todo list and just start playing with whatever, as long as it is related to the project somehow it’s fine.
Then I start grabbing smaller and gradually harder tasks until I get in the zone.
If it is all fail I stop entirely and do something else rather than continuing to push myself.
Sometimes a nap helps too.
