Great article. I found it especially interesting because I just recently re-watched Gary Bernhardt's talk from 2014, "The Birth and Death of Javascript." He didn't predict WebAssembly, but it is cool to see how we have stayed on track for the last four years and seem to be heading in precisely the direction Gary laid out in his talk.

I love that talk, and is kind of scary to think how he was able to predict the future: people is already working on a WebAssembly implementation for the linux kernel, the Java Virtual Machine and other platforms!
