True, but think of some people having a PC that doesn't meet the requirements. Also there are people who might hate ubuntu when they try it for some sort of reason that we aren't sure and varies. I really like Ubuntu and I don't like Arch, but I love Arch Linux :P. Anyways Ubuntu is the best option to start with and slowly go towards their taste...
