Ah yeah, i kinda got that by the end of the article. I don't know why i got the idea it would include such a story, but i did. This article felt like a teaser for a larger story.

I'm in the situation you described. Mid 30's and spent way too many years working on legacy projects and fell behind in what's modern and new. I've gone to a few interviews and realized i'm unhireable until i get up to speed with all the latest buzzwords.
