it can be more helpful to think of yourself as an employee who helps solve problems, and code just happens to be how you do that. And when you think of it this way, if you don't have a lot of developer experience, that starts to matter less and less. As long as you can identify past experience that matches up with what the company needs.

Very good advice for junior developers I believe. Happened to me for my first developer job. I managed to show the interviewers I loved to solve problems and brainstorm solutions, despite my shallow technical knowledge.
