I remember my first project ever doing AJAX: I was still super new as a dev and I had promised some AJAX stuff to client that I didn't actually know how to do. I had blown off the feature until the end, and like an hour before I had to leave for the meeting, I pulled up the jQuery AJAX docs and got everything to work straight away. That was a live saver.
