A Senior Developer working mostly with PHP and JavaScript, with a bit of Python thrown in for good measure, all on Linux. My tooling is simple, it's GitLab and JetBrains where possible.
Could be worse. I've had someone do that into SVN before. They selected everything to commit, so it committed everything. Took about 30 minutes to checkout to fix, and that was with an internal server.
