ChatGPT, Gemini, Loveable, Claude Code, and BlotAI can be considered among the best AI coding assistants available on the net scape. Having tried several AI coding platforms, I would recommend these to new and beginner users. AI, artificial intelligence, has been around for almost 7 years now. In a future world, it could be deployed to run complex city traffic systems. Now it is used to perform calculations on big data that has been collected from sensors all around us.
Loveable AI is a newer platform for AI coders that does some coding; however, it's not built for coders alone. Has no github intigration.
Gemini is made by Google and has been developed to work alongside the popular Google Search browser. Its main purpose is to help with research; however, it has limited coding assistance to. Gemini has no features to integrate with GitHub.
Bolt AI, built on top of Stackblitz IED, is a coding AI assistant that can help you like a teacher. You can push code to GitHub while also being able to add commit messages to the code.
Replit AI is a powerful coding IED that also provides assistance for coding. It can help with coding completion, error finding, testing, and co-working abilities.
Right now, most AI coding assistants have limited capabilities to build fully functioning software. Given more time, they will learn more from user input and improve their output too. There are some risks and trade-offs with AI coding; costing more than £20 daily is one. The other may be that they sometimes suggest solutions that are not required. So, it's important to choose the right one for your needs. Using AI to build boilerplate code is not advisable; instead, use AI to assist and test code blocks.
