If you love Aurelia (as I do) then then I recommend that you also look at Adonis. Adonis is a server-side framework, written NodeJS and styled after Laravel (a very popular PHP framework.) Adonis' most recent 4.0 release (currently in beta) is fully async/await with baked-in support for security and user-authorization via JWTs. This screencast makes the best argument [youtube.com/watch?v=RQ9CXIVZnT4] for all it's power it is wonderfully clean and unobtrusive. I find it a perfect mate to Aurelia's frontend.
