I always assumed AI discussions belonged in computer science.
Then I started reading management program curricula.
I was surprised to see topics like Business Analytics, Power BI, AI tools, digital marketing, and dashboards becoming part of many business programs.
It actually makes sense.
Managers today don't necessarily build AI models, but they do work with teams that use them every day.
Understanding reports, interpreting dashboards, asking better questions, and making decisions based on data seem to be becoming essential skills.
The interesting part is that many business schools are starting to move beyond lectures.
Some now include:
- Live projects
- Industry mentoring
- Internships
- Case studies
- Analytics tools
I think that's a positive change because it's much easier to remember something you've actually done than something you only read about.
I'm still exploring different programs myself, but one thing has become pretty clear:
Business education is changing much faster than I expected.
