2026 feels like the year AI moves from answering prompts to actually completing workflows. The 7 shifts I’m watching: multi-agent collaboration, autonomous research, tool use, persistent context, AI-driven automation, agent security, and AI visibility.
I’m also watching how brands appear inside AI answers—not just Google rankings. Tools like SerpSpur are interesting here for tracking AI mentions, citations, and visibility.
Which agentic AI shift do you think will matter most in 2026?
I’d put tool use + autonomous research at the top of the list. Once agents can reliably plan, use tools, verify results, and hand work off to other agents, the shift from “AI that answers” to “AI that executes” becomes much more tangible. Persistent context and agent security will probably be what determines how far we can actually trust that workflow.
