i5, 8GB member, 256 SSD. That gives me a lot of wiggle room, and web doesn't require anything too beefy.
The more important part for me is the OS, keyboard, and screen size.
I prefer keyboards with good travel, <14 screen and Linux.
There really aren't a lot of options there. The only two that really come to mind are the xps 13, and the think pads.
I opted for the pixelbook when it came out because I liked the hardware, and because I was comfortable needing to tinker a little.
