I maintain pi-durabletask-mcp, an MCP bridge built on howznguyen/pi-delegate-mcp and Pi Durable. It lets Claude Code or Codex delegate a review to Pi in a separate context, then redirect the work or continue the conversation.
Install and connect
Requires Node.js 22.19+ and an installed, configured global Pi.
npm install -g pi-durabletask-mcp
claude mcp add --scope user pi -- pi-durabletask-mcp
Start a new Claude Code session and ask:
Use Pi to review authentication for missing permission checks. Don't edit files. Set durable: true.
While it runs:
Focus on tenant isolation; skip style issues.
The agent uses steer. After completion, ask:
Suggest a regression test for the most serious finding.
That uses follow_up with the existing session context. Results are collected with wait(until: "settled").
Recovery and handoff
Tasks default to memory and read-only tools. Explicit durable: true enables SQLite restart recovery. Tools with unknown outcomes aren't blindly replayed; check external state before retrying.
handoff saves a note for another window. Continuing requires retained durable history and release by any live owner; the note itself doesn't transfer ownership.
Model calls use your own provider credentials and quota.
Drafted with AI assistance.
