hey have u guys tried the new Claude Opus 5.5? it dropped a few days ago and the numbers are kinda wild
someone migrated a 680,000 line codebase in under a day with it. work that would take a whole engineering team weeks
it matches their top model on quality but costs 40% less to run. cache reads dropped 60% and it generates output 30% faster than the previous Opus
also the strongest model they've tested on their own alignment audit so far. more resistant to prompt injection too
the writing is supposed to be way clearer now. one tester literally said it writes the way I do lol
i've been living in Claude Code lately so switching over should be interesting. anyone already moved to 5.5?
