TouchGrass AI - Open-Source Outdoor Break Generator

What I Built
I built TouchGrass AI, a CLI utility that uses open-source AI to generate micro-activities designed to get developers away from their desks and outdoors for quick screen breaks.

The Problem
Developers get locked into hyper-focus during long coding sessions and forget to take physical breaks outside.

The Solution
A quick terminal prompt generator that gives you one simple, immediate action to perform outdoors (e.g., observing nature, quick stretches, breathing fresh air) without needing any complex app interface.

Demo
Run directly via Python CLI:

Bash
python app.py
Sample Output:

"Step outside, walk to the nearest tree, notice 3 distinct leaf patterns, and take 5 deep breaths before returning to your code."

How I Built It
Model: Google Gemma 2 open-weight model hosted via Hugging Face Inference API.

Stack: Python 3, requests library.

Architecture: Minimalist script issuing prompt execution to an open-weight LLM endpoint.

Why Does Open Innovation Matter?
Open innovation and open-weight models like Gemma make it possible to quickly prototype lightweight utilities without heavy vendor lock-in or proprietary API keys. It keeps developer tooling open, community-driven, and accessible to everyone.
