Three years ago, if you had told me I’d be here—coding, attending college, and pushing myself to become a developer—I would have laughed at you. After surviving brain cancer for the second time and having aphasia, the idea of being in this position felt impossible.
Finding My Community
My path started with #100Devs. Being a member of that community has been a blast; the support and learning have been instrumental in getting me to where I am today. I'm still learning every day, and I'm grateful for the foundation they provided.
Building in Public
I took inspiration from James Quick to start sharing my progress. The goal of this blog is to Build in Public. I want to document the highs and the lows, not just for others to see, but to prove to myself how far I've come.
I once thought I could never do this. I was plagued by overthinking and low self-esteem. But today? I have arrived.
