Definitely try to work things out. Take the vacation people are recommending, then come back and try. If there are problems with the processes, team, your environment, etc. Try to suggest some solutions. If you ultimately decide to leave, you'll be able to explain to future prospective employers things you tried to make it better, rather than just get stressed and leave.
I'm not saying you haven't tried, but I have been in this situation before, and I'm always asked what I tried to fix.
Make sure you have things up to date in your resume, GitHub, etc. Start the job search now. Being unemployed is rough, and it makes it even harder to get a new job.
