TLDR:
- Solved atleast 1 question daily.
- Creating and following a list to identify and understand patterns
- Exhilaration, Exhaustion, and the will to continue.
Writing this after spending more than 6-7 hours across two days on a single problem.
The feeling
- Feeling mentally drained because of that Leet code 2772
- Feels good and unrealistic at the same time (as a personal acheivement) that this much time has passed, somewhere like lost the track of time and
- To be following a structure, the width of the topics covered is a little slower than expected.
- However, the depth covered is satisfactory.
- There may be cases where an exercise from an already covered topic still feels tough but the rebound is quite strong and easier to pick up.
- Sometimes a few questions take a lot of time and even though they seem under the grasp, the brain feels stuck and not working
- May be able to solve it after a day or two because this has happened before as well.
The way out
- Not letting yourself getting dragged down by demotivation because this may come and go but the grind must be continued for success is not final and failure is not fatal.
- Need to follow the rule that I made earlier to not get stuck at a problem if it takes too much of the time, but then again it kind of looks at you and challenges you. But you should not listen to your ego and let go for the time being.
- Try solving a few easier to understand problems, may be repeat an already solved one where it is lighter on the brain and call it a day.
- Come back again the next day and keep grinding. Remember why you're doing this, helps a lot in bringing down the cortisol.
For LeetCode 2772
- I have understood what you ask but I will comeback to you later.
