Not a javascript person, nor actually involved in hiring process at my company, but: if I asked someone in an interview about scope in JS and they explain the 3 types of scope, I wouldn't be impressed. If, however, they explained why there's actually just one scope, now that'd be a reason to put their application on the top of the stack.
