As someone who hires, I’d rather have smart people with a great attitude than someone with specific experience and a bad attitude. One thing though to stand out explaining what value I get is a big thing. People are always saying how much they could learn here, that’s great, but not as an initial email.
Tell me how you have shown you can learn and work hard (not too hard though, burnout is a real thing). Show me there is a reason you want to work with us, if it’s not generic you will get so much further.
