Kiksi Update: Community Tools, Safety & Quality of Life Improvements

Kiksi isn’t just another bot—it’s a tool built with communities, not for them. This update focuses on practical changes that reduce friction, improve safety, and give users more control over their servers. No flashy promises, just real improvements.

What’s New

1. Vote Reminders – Keep Votes Alive

Forgetting to vote? No more excuses.

  • DM Reminders: Enable a direct message notification to prompt users to vote.
  • Channel-Based Reminders: Configure reminders to appear in a specific server channel.

This is a small feature with a big impact—keeping voting systems running smoothly.

2. Global Chat: Safer Communication

The Global Chat system now includes stricter protections:

  • Anti-link filtering: Prevents unwanted external links from appearing.
  • Anti-spam detection: Reduces unnecessary messages and bots.
  • Abuse prevention layers: Additional safeguards to maintain a clean environment.

Open communication shouldn’t come at the cost of safety.

3. Custom Branding (Beta) – Tier-Based Personalization

Custom branding lets servers stand out, but it’s limited to certain tiers:

  • Base Tier (free):
    • Custom footer text (e.g., server rules or links).
  • Community Tier (join the Kiksi Discord):
    • Custom footer + embed color styling.
  • Premium Tier (earned via votes):
    • Everything above + custom logo and thumbnail.

⚠️ Note: This is a beta feature—still being refined.

4. Bug Reports: Faster Feedback

Bugs should be reported easily, no matter where you are.

  • Dashboard Bug Reports: Now sent directly to the support Discord.
  • Slash Command Bug Reports: Available for users without dashboard access.

Less friction = faster fixes.

Try It Out

Enable Vote Reminders

  1. Go to your server’s Kiksi dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Community.
  3. Toggle on "Vote Reminders" and select your preferred method (DM or channel).

Test Global Chat Safety

  • Try posting links or spam—Global Chat should filter them out.
  • Check if your server’s branding (footer, colors) appears correctly in Premium/Community tiers.

Report a Bug

  • Via Dashboard: Use the bug report form.
  • Via Slash Command: Type /kiksi report-bug in your server.

Final Thoughts
Kiksi evolves because of its community. Keep contributing, testing, and giving feedback—this is just the beginning.

More updates will follow. Always. 🚀
