I just wanted to share a tool I’ve been working on that I wish I had when I was launching my apps across different platforms. It’s called PixelPrep — a SaaS tool designed to automate the often painful process of resizing app store screenshots for all platforms, from phones and tablets to smart TVs, wearables, Fire Stick, and more. 🚀
As a mobile developer myself, I’ve been frustrated with the amount of time spent manually resizing images to meet each platform's unique guidelines (looking at you, Google Play, Apple App Store, and all the others). That's when I realized: there has to be a better way! So I built PixelPrep to do just that.
What it does:
Resizes app store screenshots for all major platforms: Google Play, Apple App Store, Amazon, Fire TV, Android TV, Apple Watch, and more.
Supports batch processing — drop multiple screenshots in, and they get resized automatically for all platforms. No more resizing them one by one. 🖼️
Zip downloads — once processing is done, the resized images are bundled up in a single zip file, ready to be uploaded to the app stores. Just download and go! 📥
Drag-and-drop UI — super easy to use, even if you're juggling multiple projects. 👨💻👩💻
Why PixelPrep?
I know there are a few tools out there that focus on resizing for Google and Apple, but my goal with PixelPrep is to go beyond that. I want it to be a one-stop solution for every platform, every device, and every app store, so you can launch your app without headaches.
For example, resizing for smartwatches or TV apps can be a pain because the requirements are so different. PixelPrep handles these edge cases, so you don’t have to worry about them. 🌟
