A job-based directory for in-browser tools

Most “tool lists” dump hundreds of bookmarks in one pile. When you actually need to compress a PDF or generate a QR code, that pile is slow to scan.

I keep a smaller directory grouped by job, not by brand: generators, converters, editors, calculators, checkers, templates, and builders. Each entry is a browser workflow, so you are not installing a desktop app for a one-off task.

The live list is here: Web Tools List. If you maintain a similar index, the useful test is: can a stranger find the right tool in under a minute without knowing the product name?
