It's free, open source, you can deploy it yourself and it's backend agnostic (it connects directly to your database). In addition to those benefits the thing I like about it is that folks on the team that don't know sql can still create dashboards. The query builder does a good job guiding you to create the right questions. And for more advanced users you can drop down to sql and do more complex queries.
