I'm definitely unvirtuous lol but I like this perspective regarding accessibility.
There are things I'm not able to get buy-in from my workplace or clients that are not feasible to do myself even if I'm willing to sacrifice unpaid time (eg. adding feature where users can add alt text to their uploaded images, which would require modifying the DB & API). On that count I probably "failed" at making an accessible website. But for things that are within my control I always make sure I write accessible code (color contrast, focus management, keyboard navigation, etc). When I write posts or give talks, I try to include relevant accessibility tips when possible.
Guess I'm still drowning... but in a shallow pool.
