Convert Between Different Number Systems Without Using Formula in Excel:

In this article, we are going to learn how to Convert Between Different Number Systems Without Using Formula in Excel Office 365 using Kutools. Get an official version of MS Excel from the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-365/excel

Note: kutools for Excel has more than 180 features which are used to complete the difficult task with several clicks. If you want to use Kutools, you need to install it from Excel’s official website.

Convert Binary to Hex or Vice Versa:

To convert binary to hex or vice versa, do as follows.

  • You need to select the range of cells that contain the binary numbers.

  • Then, On the Kutools Tab, select the Content option, choose Conversion of Number Systems option from the drop-down menu.

  • It will open the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box.
  • In that dialog box, select the Binary option from the first box, select the Hexadecimal option from the second box under the Conversion type section.
  • Now, click the OK button.

  • After clicking the OK button, Kutools for Excel dialog box will pop out to tell you how many cells have been converted. Click Ok to close this dialog box and get the result.

  • Now, you can see the converted hex values from the selected range as shown in the below image.

Note:

  • If you want to convert hex to binary , you need to click the exchange button given in the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box.

Convert Octal to Decimal or Vice Versa:

To convert octal to decimal or vice versa, follow the below instructions.

  • You need to select the range of cells that contain the octal numbers.

  • Then, On the Kutools Tab, select the Content option, choose Conversion of Number Systems option from the drop-down menu.

  • It will open the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box.
  • In that dialog box, select the Octal option from the first box, select the Decimal option from the second box under the Conversion type section.
  • Now, click the OK button.

  • After clicking the OK button, Kutools for Excel dialog box will pop out to tell you how many cells have been converted. Click Ok to close this dialog box and get the result.

  • If you want to convert octal to decimal , you need to click the exchange button given in the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box.

Convert Decimal to Hex or Vice Versa:

If you want to convert decimal to hex or vice versa, then do as below steps.

  • You need to select the range of cells that contain the decimal numbers.

Here are the steps to convert ASCII numbers to hexadecimal numbers or vice versa.

  • You need to select the range of cells that contain the ASCII numbers.
